Professional Development Program (PDP)

Program Duration: 3 Months

Program Outlines

HeadStart Advisory provides a range of services to different clients. Students who wish to join our advisory function will have to enrol in and pass our professional development program which is designed to upskill the participants.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certificate and will either join as MTOs in our advisory team or get included in our talent pool based on performance and potential.

Initial Interview:

To understand the relative strengths and weaknesses of potential applicants. This will help us design the development program customized to specific applicants.

Professional Training Courses:

Students will have to complete at least 2 professional training programs. The training programs include MS Excel, Tally, QuickBooks, BD VAT & Tax and BD Companies Act. Each training course will have a duration of six weeks, including one week for assessment.

Microsoft Office Suite:

Students will be tested on their competence of basic skills on Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. – MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc).

Group work:

Applicants will be divided into groups and given tasks to complete. They will be assessed on their group assignment as well as peer review. This also includes presentations where applicants may have to speak about a particular topic and answer any queries the audience may have.

Business Simulation Challenge (BSC):

A case study which would require critical analysis, dealing with proposals, negotiations, etc.

Final Interview:

To determine the candidate’s progress during the program, and thus will be a final assessment of the potential applicant.
