HeadStart, a GOLD Approved Learning Partner, Approved Employer and a Licensed CBE Centre of ACCA, is a professional accountancy service provider. We are also a growing advisory firm, founded in 2020 by renowned FCCA, ACCA, and ACCA Affiliates, with the unique idea of having an academic and advisory wing together in one comprehensive and complementary platform.
CAT stands for Certified Accounting Technician and the qualification provides a strong foundation of knowledge in finance and accounting. It is provided by the ACCA for those students who do not wish to study for the full ACCA Qualification or who do not satisfy the entry requirements and wish to study later for the full ACCA Qualification.
The qualification proves to employers that you have all the technical skills and knowledge needed to perform an accounts-support role and that you are capable of working at a technician level. In addition, once the qualification has been obtained, students may progress onto the ACCA Qualification if they wish to do so; starting at the Applied Skills exams. The four essentials competences and one year’s work experience gained to achieve the CAT Qualification can also count towards the three years’ work experience and 13 performance objectives required for the ACCA Qualification.
